In accordance with the tax laws of Nepal, all commercial shipments must be accompanied by proper documentation. We do not transport undocumented commercial goods.
Commercial Shipments (Merchants): Every package must be accompanied by a valid VAT or PAN Invoice. If an invoice is not available, a Delivery Challan clearly stating the sender's details and the nature of the goods must be attached.
E-Way Bill: For high-value consignments or as per the prevailing government regulations (VCTS), the Merchant/Sender is responsible for generating and providing the E-Way Bill (VCTS).
Non-Commercial (Personal) Items: For personal items (e.g., sending a lunchbox or forgotten keys), the sender must clearly declare the contents to the rider at the time of pickup.
Consequences of Missing Bills: If a rider is stopped by authorities (Police/Revenue Office) and the package lacks a proper bill, Pick & Drop is not liable for the seizure of the goods. All fines or legal costs incurred will be charged to the Sender.
Pick & Drop maintains a Zero Tolerance Policy for illegal activities.
Mandatory Handover: If a package is found to contain prohibited, illegal, or smuggled items, or if the documentation is found to be fraudulent, Pick & Drop will immediately hand over the package, the sender’s details, and all related data to the Nepal Police or the Department of Revenue Investigation.
Inspection during Transit: Our riders are instructed to cooperate fully with police checkpoints. If authorities demand to see the contents of a package, the rider will allow the inspection as per the law of the land.
We will NEVER carry the following. Attempting to ship these will result in an immediate report to the authorities:
Illegal Drugs & Narcotics: Any banned substances under the Narcotic Drugs (Control) Act.
Unbilled/Smuggled Goods: Items imported into Nepal without proper customs clearance or "grey market" products.
Weapons & Explosives: Firearms, ammunition, or firecrackers.
Currency & Gambling Tools: Large amounts of cash, lottery tickets, or gambling devices.
Hazardous Materials: Flammable liquids, acids, or pressurized cylinders.
The following items are not banned but are carried at the Sender’s sole risk. Pick & Drop provides no compensation for loss or damage to:
Original Documents: Passports, Citizenship Certificates, Bluebooks, or Academic Certificates.
Jewelry & Precious Metals: Gold, silver, or expensive watches.
Fragile Electronics: Laptops, mobile phones, or monitors (unless packed in original, shock-proof packaging).
Liquids: Shampoos, oils, or beverages (must be double-sealed to prevent leaking onto other parcels).
Since Pick & Drop operates a fleet of two-wheelers and small vans, space is as valuable as weight.
Weight & Volume Rule: Shipping charges are calculated based on the Actual Weight or the Volumetric (Dimensional) Weight, whichever is higher.
How Volumetric Weight is calculated:
(Length x Width x Height in cm) / 5000 = Volumetric Weight in KG
Two-Wheeler (Bike/Scooter) Limits: Max Weight 15 KG. Max Dimensions: 40cm x 40cm x 40cm. Packages exceeding these dimensions will be charged as per volumetric weight or may require a 4-wheeler booking.
Oversized Items: Items like furniture or large appliances require a dedicated van/truck booking.
The sender is responsible for ensuring the package can survive a journey on a two-wheeler:
The "Bike-Safe" Rule: Packages must be able to withstand vibrations and minor bumps.
Fragile Goods: Must be wrapped in at least two layers of bubble wrap and placed in a sturdy box.
Sealing: Use high-quality packing tape. Do not use string or staples, which can snap or cause injury.
Labeling: The Recipient’s Name and Phone Number must be clearly visible on the package.
Visual Inspection: At the time of pickup, our riders have the right to ask the sender to show the contents of an unsealed package.
Refusal: We reserve the right to refuse any package that is:
Leaking or emitting a strong odor.
Heavier than the 15kg limit for bikes.
Lacking a proper bill or invoice.
Insecurely packed.
If you send an item that is illegal or dangerous (e.g., a leaking battery or unbilled electronics) and it results in:
A fine being levied on our rider by the police.
Damage to other customers' parcels.
Damage to our vehicle or injury to our rider.
You (the Sender) agree to fully indemnify Pick & Drop for all losses, legal fees, and fines incurred.
